The Transmission Line Applet, developed by one of us (KES) is
not primarily intended for classroom use. It is a practical
tool for calculating and visualising tranmission line properties.
It solves the usual transmission line equations and displays the voltage,
power, current, and impedance along the line. A set of standard cables
can be menu selected or custom values given. A number of other physical
systems
such as layered isotropic media and wave guides also satisfy these
same equations so this applet could be adapted to help visualize those
systems.
